To ensure that our undergraduate and graduate programs are qualified, the following facilities that have been assembled:

  • Computer Room
  • Hardware Lab

Mandalay Institute of Technology (MIT) was founded at 1st October, in 1991. It initially pursued undergraduate courses conducted by six departments such as Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Power, Chemical and Architecture.

In Electrical Power Department, there are four types or programs were offered. They are engineering diploma or certification courses, Bachelor, Master and Doctor of Philosophy in electrical engineering. The first one is not included and the others are opening regularly.

The six years Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) for Centre of Excellence is opened on December, 2012 and that course and others will be continued every year.

Our Electrical Power Department has few teachers for a long time, but there are many teachers in it. At present, the electrical laboratory equipments are not enough for students and some indoor/outdoor laboratory equipments are needed but the students are familiar with their laboratory equipments.

  • To produce comprehensively trained, skillful, socially and environmentally responsible, ethically and emotionally strong and innovative electrical engineers and researches of highest quality who are capable of handling the technical challenges of the modern world and willing to contribute his offered for the development in Electrical sector of our country and for the betterment of our future world.

  • To promote the electrical power engineering department as a centre of excellence that completed with practical, theoretical and advanced training appliances in the fields of power system engineering, power electronic and industrial drives, renewable energy and other related areas of research.
