Research Grant

Call for Research Grant Applications is now CLOSED.

Mandalay Technological University support teachers, researchers, and students to conduct research in the university’s priority research areas, namely – environment, health, ICT, industry, and energy by providing research funds from government budget. The level of funding will depend on the availability of the university research fund allocated budget. The number of grants and the amount of fund for each grant is adjusted periodically based on the availability of funding. The call for research grant applications is normally open around October on annually.

The grant is eligible for all researchers, teachers and students in MTU. However, the Principal Investigator (PI) of the research project should be the teachers or researchers who are currently employed at MTU. For more information, check Research Grant Application Guidelines.

The grant applications are peer-reviewed by the Ethical Research Committee according to the criteria which are mentioned in the Research Grant Application Guidelines. To apply, use Research Grant Proposal Template. The principal investigator (PI) and co-principal investigator (co-PI) of the selected research project must accept the grant by signing the Research Grant Agreement. All the awarded projects must submit the reports at every three months of the project period using the Research Progress Report template.
